Get a Mongolia Visa

1. When is the best time to apply for my Mongolia visa? The best time to apply for your Mongolia visa is 1-2 months before your travel date.
2. Do I have to send you my passport to get a Mongolia visa? Is it safe to send a passport? You will need to send your actual passport, not a copy of it. The Mongolia visa is stamped on your passport and will become one of your passport pages. Visa requests cannot be processed without your original passport. Because of the importance of your passport, we strongly suggest that you send your application and passport to CIBTvisas in a secure way, using a traceable courier such as FedEx, UPS, Express Mail or Certified Mail.

Business Visa Application Requirements for a Mongolia Visa

1. Passport

   The applicant´s actual passport. The passport must:

   • Be in good condition. Not be damaged in any way
   • Be valid at least six months beyond exit date
   • Have at least one blank visa page
      

2. Photograph(s)

   You must provide two colour, passport type photographs that meet the following criteria:

   • Be taken within the last three months and printed on high quality photo paper
   • Be taken against an all white background
   • Be 35 mm by 45mm in size
   • Provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression
   • You may wear neither spectacles nor headwear except for religious purposes
   • Your photos should not be affixed to your application and they may not display evidence of adhesive or staples

3. Copy of Passport Pages

   A copy of all passport pages containing stamps and visas

4. Copy of ID

   A copy of and original ID (INE) of the applicant

5. Business Introduction Letter

   An original letter of introduction from the applicant's employer in Mexico. This letter must:

   • Be on company letterhead paper
   • Include the name of the applicant, passport number, profession and job's position
   • Specify the purpose of journey
   • Include the name of the organisation(s) to be visited
   • Include an acceptance of financial responsibility for the applicant
   • Be signed by the applicant's supervisor or the company's HR department

6. Letter of Invitation

   A letter of invitation from the company the applicant is visiting. A copy is acceptable. This letter must:

   • Be on company letterhead paper
   • Include the name and passport number of the applicant
   • Request the same validity of visa as in the Business Introduction Letter
   • Specify the requested number of entries you are requesting for your visa 
   • Include the name, address and telephone number of the organisation(s) to be visited

7. Proof of Travel Arrangements

   Details of travel arrangements. This must be provided as:

   • A copy of the flight confirmation showing onward/return travel
   • A copy of the hotel confirmation
   • A copy of the itinerary of the trip

8. Proof of Financial Means

   Evidence of available funds must be provided as a copy of the applicant's most recent bank statement showing available founds for the trip.
   

9. Proof of Address

   This must be provided as an utility bill (water, electricity, phone) issued within the last 3 months and showing the applicant's name and current address in Mexico

10. Minors Under the Age of 18

    Travelers under the age of 18 must also provide:

    • Color copies of both parent's IDs
    • A notarized, signed letter of consent by the parents/guardians authorizing the minor to travel
    • The consent must provide details of the minor's financial guarantee, including lodging, food, insurance, etc.

11. Visa Application Form

    One fully completed and signed application form
