Business Visa Application Requirements for a Taiwan, China Visa

1. Mandatory Arrival Card

   All travellers to Taiwan are required to apply for a mandatory Online Arrival Card before arrival. The Online Arrival card can be applied for here free of charge.

   The following categories are not required to submit an Arrival card:

   • Registered residents in Taiwan (including permanent and alien residents)
   • Foreign national holding diplomatic ID card issued by the Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs

   Please note that the Online Arrival card is not an electronic visa, it is simply an electronic form replacing the paper form that travellers had to fill out before arrival.

2. Passport

   The applicant´s actual passport. The passport must:

   • Be in good condition. Not be damaged in any way
   • Be valid at least six months beyond exit date
   • Have at least one blank visa page
      

3. Photograph

   You must provide photographs. Upload your photo and we will print it to the exact specifications required for this visa. Follow https://cibtvisas.com.mx/photo-service to upload your photo.

   
   Alternatively, you may provide two colour, passport type photographs that meet the following strict criteria: be taken within the last three months against a white background and printed on high quality photo paper; be 35mm by 45mm in size; provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression. You may wear neither spectacles nor headwear except for religious purposes and wear colour clothes. Your photographs should not be affixed to your application and may not display evidence of adhesive or staples.

4. Business Introduction Letter

   An original letter of introduction from the applicant's employer in Mexico. This letter must:

   • Be on company letterhead paper
   • Include the name of the applicant, passport number, profession and job's position
   • Specify the purpose of journey
   • Include the name of the organisation(s) to be visited
   • Include an acceptance of financial responsibility for the applicant
   • Be signed by the applicant's supervisor or the company's HR department
   • Be addressed to Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Mexico

5. Letter of Invitation

   An original letter of invitation from the company the applicant is visiting. This letter must:

   • Be on company letterhead paper
   • Include the name and passport number of the applicant
   • Specify the purpose of journey
   • Specify the requested number of entries you are requesting for your visa 
   • Include the name, address and telephone number of the organisation(s) to be visited
   • Include an acceptance of financial responsibility for the applicant
   • Bear company's seal and signature

6. Proof of Financial Means

   Evidence of available funds must be provided as :

   • A copy of the applicant's last three payslips

   Or

   • A copy of the applicant's last three bank statements.

7. Proof of Travel Arrangements

   A copy of the flight confirmation showing onward/return travel

8. Copy of Passport Identification Page

   A clear colour copy of the information page(s) from the applicant's passport

9. Visa Application Form

   One fully completed and signed application form. This form must be completed on line at: https://visawebapp.boca.gov.tw/BOCA_MRVWeb/subroot/MRVWeb0_form.jsp

10. CIBTvisas Order Form

    Complete and submit with your other materials one CIBTvisas Order Form.

11. Applicants transiting through the USA

    Applicants transiting through the United States must additionally provide a copy of their US visa.
