Steven Diehl – Global Managing Director, Immigration
As Global Managing Director, Immigration for CIBT’s wholly-owned subsidiary Newland Chase, Steven Diehl spearheads the company’s immigration initiatives by leading a global team that is responsible for designing and implementing immigration solutions to a diverse portfolio of multinational, national, and NGO clients. As CIBT's footprint has expanded into new regions, Steve and his team have played an integral role in providing strategic guidance and direction to clients seeking short-term and long-term migration strategies that are tailored to specific industry sectors. In his nearly twenty years with the organization, Steve served in various roles at CIBT including Vice President of Sales and Vice President of Account Management where he led his team in a major expansion of the company’s client portfolio. Steve began his career with CIBT in 1996. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Syracuse University where he graduated summa cum laude. He is an active member of and frequent panelist at leading international travel and mobility associations, including the Worldwide ERC (ERC), the Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM), the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE), and the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA).
Maria Del Carmen Guevara - Operations Director and Account Manager
Maria Carmen is our Operations Director and has been one of the drivers of the firm's rapid growth. She leads the Mexican operations team and is responsible for some of our largest customers. Maria Carmen has advised and implemented legal strategies for multinational companies to effectively ensure compliance. She has significant expertise and understanding of the changes in the Mexican migration regime including the Migration Act in November 2012. Her knowledge on this subject provides a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory principles of the legal framework that governs Mexican immigration in terms of entry, stay and exit of foreigners. Maria Carmen graduated from the Autonomous University of Puebla.
